The project concludes that Vincent Egbuson is a committed writer who strives hard to see to it that the African novel captures life as it is. In doing that, he proffers bourgeois feminism. Thus, Egbuson is a bourgeois writer as his sympathy lies with the ruling class to the detriment of the hoi polloi and the proletariat. This kind of representation has the power of frustrating revolutionary imperatives in the African novel andsociology.

Akwu Sunday Victor obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree (HONS) in English and Literary Studies from Kogi State University, Anyigba, Nigeria. He is the author of Breaking the Cycle of Silence [a play], the editor: New Voices from the Confluence: An Anthology of Creative Writing and coauthored Trade / Entrepreneurship for Schools and Colleges.
