This book presents an economic cost-benefit appraisal of select watershed development projects in India. The findings of this study suggest that watershed development projects initiated to improve the economy and ecology of India's dry and semiarid regions are economically viable and socially desirable. Mr. Sahu obtained his M.Phil degree in Economics from Berhampur University, Orissa, India. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Economics at the Department of HSS,IIT Bombay,Mumbai, India. His research interests include Energy Economics,Natural Resource & Environmental Economics,Industrial Economics,Development Economics & Applied econometrics.
