Holly-Jane Rahlens kam nach dem Studium der Literaturwissenschaft und Theater Arts aus ihrer Heimatstadt New York nach Berlin. Mit Funkerzählungen, Hörspielen und Solo-Bühnenshows machte sie sich dort in den achtziger und neunziger Jahren einen Namen. Außerdem arbeitete sie als Journalistin, Radiomoderatorin und Regisseurin. Sie lebt heute mit Mann und Sohn in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
