Richard Adams, 1920 in Berkshire geboren, studierte in Oxford Literatur und Geschichte. 'Watership Down' basiert auf Geschichten, mit denen er seine kleinen Töchter unterhielt, und wurde ein Welterfolg, der seitdem Generationen begeistert hat. Heute lebt Richard Adams mit seiner Ehefrau Elizabeth in Whitchurch.
