Unvergleichliches Gipfeltreffen Mit dem Soundtrack für den Film "Der König der Löwen" schrieben Elton John und Tim Rice Musikgeschichte. Das gleiche Duo zeichnet jetzt auch für dieses Album verantwortlich. Zur Untermalung des Musicals "Aida", das bereits im Oktober 1998 in Atlanta seine Weltpremiere feierte, komponierten die beiden, unterstützt von der Creme der aktuellen Pop- und Soul-Szene, 14 Songs. Die Bandbreite reicht von klassischen, mit Streicher-Harmonien unterlegten Tracks wie "Easy As Life", interpretiert von Tina Turner und Angélique, über Pop-Hymnen wie "My Strongest Suit", veredelt von den Stimmen der Spice Girls, bis zu Soul-Balladen wie "Not Me", eingespielt von Boys II Men. Bester Song dieses einzigartigen Albums, das Pop- und Musical-Fans gleichermaßen ansprechen dürfte, ist jedoch der von einem unwiderstehlichen Reggae-Riddim unterlegte Opener "Another Pyramid", auf dem Sting sein Können als Sänger eindrucksvoll demonstriert.
